DAY 9 THE MIND OF A WARRIOR PART 2

The Mind of a Warrior Part 2

Their "no" is God's yes! Have you ever had someone try to close the door on you. I mean literally see you coming so close to grabbing your blessing and because of their current position slam the door in your face. The enemy senses when you are close to a breakthrough and he will use someone within your environment to shut you out. It can seem like a 'No'' at that moment. What I love about the mind of an achiever is the ability to see beyond that. Do you recall young David in the bible? His own family tried to shut him out but what they didn't know was that God will use a closed door to open a window of opportunity. Everyone feels they are better suited for your promotion but " the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7. While the world finds 100 reasons why you are not suitable, God has one reason why you are and that's what counts. Are you going to focus on the 100 or are you going to confidently walk in the one that counts? The Achiever in you is tired of waiting at the door.

Day 20 God Says So!

God says so! This challenge has examined some things in us that needed to be changed or finessed. We know the mind is truly the battleground!!! The comfort comes from knowing it is indeed a fixed fight. John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Is the instruction given clear but your trying to make it logical in your own eyes. When I was a child I can remember asking my mom “why” after being told to do something. Not only would I get the evil eye but she would say “because I said so”. Sometimes the instruction is “God says so”. No logic or reason you can possibly understand. So move because God says so! Start the ministry because God says so!  Trust that your children’s success is written because God says so! That last one was for myself. As we are drawing to a close I want you to know there is no greater resource than God. It’s my passion to instruct people and ...

Day 19 Start with Love Part 2

Start With Love part 2  The last 2 days have been about loving Jesus and being obedient. Yesterday the private group focused on “why I love Jesus”. One member said it’s like the song says “because he first loved me”. We are heading into the hardest part of the matter which is loving others. I’m not talking about just loving the people who love you. I mean loving the people who you know don’t like you or have your best interest in mind. You might ask why do we have to do that. Firstly, is it necessary to have that loving attitude and mindset because it drives your actions and your choices. Luke 6:27-36 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Do to other...

Day 17 Start With Love

Start With Love                                  Don’t complicate things. Isaiah 53:5 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”  What can we possibly do or say to show our love and appreciation. The answer is found in John 14:15 “if you love me, keep my commandments”. I find that often times people complicate things way too much. We spend countless hours contemplating how to make progress in our lives. Yet many of us have closed ourselves off to the simplest concept of faith and love.   When we are lovers and doers we began to see things shift. The complexity is created in our minds. This challenge has been about training and   shaping the mind but nothing can substitute being in tune with God. Some things you have to know and hold on to. Keeping these principals in ou...
